Should I provide my user ID or password via email?
You will never be asked to provide your user name or password via email. In fact, client services does not process account requests via email at all. For the security of your debt management services account, we will ask you to log in to your account online in order to submit account requests electronically.
What should I do if I am suspicious of email received from Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM)?
If you are suspicious of any email received from Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM), do not click on it, reply to it, or enter any information into the email. Instead, please contact us via telephone at 1.800.460.8641 or log into your account online to send us an alert.
Why won't you release account information to my friend, family member, or spouse?
For the protection of your personal account information, only you, the client, or an otherwise authorized individual may access your account information. As all credit counseling should remain confidential, we respect your privacy. Unfortunately, this means we are not able to provide account information to persons, including spouses, who are not authorized on your account. If you wish to authorize someone to receive account information on your behalf, contact us at 1.800.460.8641 or login to your account online.
I used to have an account with another person; however, I have since removed them from the account. Will they still be able to access my account information?
The person removed from the account will no longer have account access via telephone, fax, or written correspondence. However, keep in mind that if you have shared your online login information with them, they will be able to use this information. Please let us know if you feel that you would require additional security measures, such as adding a pass code for future telephone calls to our client services department.
Is the information that I provide to Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM) online secure?
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for the protection of any personal information, such as User ID's, passwords, and account numbers that you may transmit online through your Client Web Access service. Please do not share your account ID or password with others in order to limit who may access your account online.
What does Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM) do to keep my information private and secure?
Through all of our debt management programs and credit counseling help, we believe in keeping your personal information secure. How can I verify you are properly licensed and registered in my state?
As with all reputable debt management companies, in most cases we would need to be registered with two or more agencies in each state, including the Secretary of State's office and the Attorney General's office. In some states, an industry license is also required. Please contact us at webmaster@yourgfm.com for further information on regulatory contacts in a specific state.
My friend is enrolled in your service and lives in the same state that I do. Why can't you provide service to me also?
Your friend may have started our service while living in another state. Additionally, state regulations may have changed preventing us from accepting new clients in your state. For the protection of consumers and clients, GFM is committed to providing our professional debt management and consumer credit counseling services only in those states in which we are fully qualified.
Does Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM) send out marketing email?
GFM may occasionally send out marketing email to both current clients and consumers who have expressed an interest in our service. GFM may also send newsletters and progress reports to our current clients.
I don't have an account with Genesis Financial Management, Inc. (GFM); however, I am receiving email from you. Why is this?
Occasionally, we may send email to those consumers who have expressed interest in our financial management services by contacting us via telephone, email, or online.
