Debt Management Plan
At Genesis Financial Management, we create a customized repayment plan around your financial circumstances.
When you enroll in the GFM debt management program, you will work directly with a qualified and experienced credit counseling professional who will guide you through the process step-by-step. Because having debt is already stressful enough, we aim to implement a debt management plan that is as simple as possible. Here is an overview of the steps you & GFM will take together to roll out your new debt management strategy:
- Together, we will put together a list of all creditors and amounts owed.
- Your income and financial budget will be taken into account.
- GFM will contact all of your creditors on your behalf and begin the DMP process enrollment.
- Your creditors will acknowledge and accept you into our debt management plan.
- GFM will negotiate the best terms possible with your creditors, usually significantly reducing the interest rates and monthly payments.
- As part of your plan, you will begin make one consolidated monthly payment to GFM.
- We will distribute your consolidated debt payment individually to each creditor as required.
- On time payments begin to bring accounts current.
- Negative credit reporting will come to a halt.
- Pesky phones calls from collectors will stop.
- As your balances begin to shrink, the snowball effect begins to happen.
- In 60 months or less, you will reach the ultimate goal of being free of these unsecured debts.
There are a couple things to note. First, you will need to follow GFM's instructions regarding making any existing minimum payments in full and on time until the program is completely active and in full gear. Also, it is very important to provide a list of every debt account held - using any line of credit while enrolled in your personal debt management plan will likely cause the creditors to remove you from the program.
If this all seems confusing, do not worry - our friendly debt counselors will let you know exactly what you will need to do each step of the way. Our debt management program has been proven successful time and time again - and with our existing connections with more than 80,000 creditors, the process is remarkably efficient too. Call us today at 1-866-467-1259 and let GFM help you start to get your debt under control!
