And Beyond...
Continued monitoring of your progress and success in the GFM debt management program.
Your debt management program is a true partnership between you and GFM. We will be helping you every step of the way, working with you to achieve your financial goals. However, please note that one of the most important factors in our ability to assist you in this process is having an open line of communication. Many times, creditors ask us for additional information in order to accept you into the program; our ability to stay in touch with you is critical to your success.
Important Information Regarding Missed Payments
Missing payments is the single most damaging thing you can do while participation in a debt management program. Creditors can (and frequently do) drop clients from the plan for missing as few as one or two payments. If you must miss a payment, communication with GFM at least 3 business days in advance is of the utmost importance. Failure to do so can result in loss of benefits, and some creditors will not allow you to receive benefits again for up to 5 years. Due to the nature of electronic banking transactions, GFM requires 3 business days to make changes to your payments.
